AMENDMENT to CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES THIS CONTRACT made this qu day of yung, , 2017, in the Territory of the Virgin Islands, by and between the GOVERNMENT OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS, DEPARTMENT OF PROPERTY AND PROCUREMENT on behalf of the DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION OF 1834 Kongens Gade, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, 00802 (hereinafter referred to as "Government" or “VIDE”) and American Institutes for Research in the Behavioral Sciences, Inc. of 1000 Thomas Jefferson Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20007-3835 (hereinafter referred to as "Contractor"). The Government and the Contractor collectively referred to as “Parties”. WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, on December 7, 2016, the Parties entered into Contract No. P021DOET17 to provide supplemental training, coaching, and support to District administrators on the continued implementation the VIDE’s Teacher Leader Effectiveness System (“System”), a comprehensive system of shared understanding of effective teaching, teacher/leader standards, evidence based feedback as part of an evaluation process and an evaluation system that promotes ongoing professional learning for promoting and improving teacher and leader effectiveness; and WHEREAS, the Contract is due to expire on December 31, 2017; and WHEREAS, the Parties wish to amend the Contract to provide state leaders and school administrators in the St. Thomas/ St. John and St. Croix school districts with additional days of supplemental training, coaching, and support towards the implementation of the system; and WHEREAS, the subject Amendment to Contract for Professional Services shall require an increase compensation of Seventy Five Thousand, Twenty Five Dollars and Zero Cents ($75,025.00), thus increasing the total contract cost to an amount of One Hundred Fifty Five Thousand, Three Hundred Sixty Dollars and Zero Cents ($155,360.00); and NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties agree that the Contract is amended as follows: 1. Paragraph 3 (Compensation) is amended to state the following: “The Government, in consideration of the satisfactory performance of the services described in Amendment to Addendum _I (Scope of Work), agrees to pay Contractor the sum of ONE HUNDRED FIFTY FIVE THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED SIXTY DOLLARS AND ZERO CENTS ($155,360.00) in accordance with the provisions set forth in Amendment_to Addendum _II (Compensation) attached hereto and made a part of this contract. l comaaenPOSIDOETI?
