I believe that this has been an area of confusion in the past. Answer: Maintenance proposal should only cover the 16 new sirens to be installed under this scope of work. 2. Section II. Purpose Subsection “b. Installation Sites”. This section indicates the quantity of sirens to be installed by area. Have the specific installation locations already been selected, or will the successful bidder be required to perform site selection with upon contract award? Answer; Some specific installation locations have already been determined. VITEMA will continue the process of determining locations for the new sirens with the intent of having the process completed by the time the contract is awarded. 3. Section II. Purpose Subsection “c. Vendor Requirements” a. Item “4. Training for local users on system”. Can the RFP limit the amount of training? Often there are multiple locations and possibly multiple shifts that need to be supported. Can more details be provided, or should we assume one training session for up to 10 people? Answer: The selected vendor will need to conduct two training sessions on St. Thomas and two training sessions on St. Croix. It is anticipated that one training session would be conducted in the morning and one in the afternoon for each location. The training would be for approximately 25 people for each location split between the two sessions. b. Item “6. Two year service contract”. Is this for the full system, or only for the sirens installed under the scope of this RFP? Answer: The two year service contract would only cover the 16 new sirens being installed. All other terms and conditions remain the same. A copy of this amendment must be returned with your bid.
