The following members were present: The Viee Chairman (Coulter), M. M Skeoch, F. Lunney, A.J. blackwood, F. Andersen, G Nordby, Thos. Ramsay, D. S. Armstrong, G. B. Fleming, A. E. Stakemann, W. S. Abragson and K. Hendersen. His Excellency the Gosprnor Admiral Oman and Despatching Selgetary (Com- mander Uolby) attended (hgmeetnng. W. Skeoch) absent from the island. . The Secretary to the Councii being absent the Vice-Chairman asked Ist Ap- ‘pointed Member t?endersen‘ to act as Secretary. Accordingly the meniber took the chair, After prayers had been said the Vice- Chairman remarked: Honorabie Mem- bers the minutes for the last meeting have been published as custownary in the “‘St. Croix Avis’’ and if members have no objection I will consider same tacitly adopted. There being no objection the Vice- Chairman declared the minutes as pub- lished tacitly adopted. ° Lhe Viee-Chairman remarked: Since the ilast meeting I have received the fol- lowing communications: 1. [ also wish t¢ remark that the Vice- Chairman and myself inspected the schoo! building to find out what the con- templated changes were, but there was no one there to give us information. As regard the repairs to the galleries of the building, “we believe that it wculd be more economical to recommend a concrete floor, as it would last longer-thaa a wood- en floor. 1 recommond the Money Bill to th» favorabie consideration of the Coun cil.
