July 2 U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS—Governor Albert Bryan Jr. today expressed his heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the people of Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines as they grapple with the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl. The Governor also extended his concerns to all those potentially in the path of the storm. “Our hearts go out to our Caribbean neighbors in Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines as they endure the devastating impact of Hurricane Beryl. We stand in solidarity with you during this challenging time,” said Governor Bryan. “Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected and those who may still be in harm’s way.” Governor Bryan highlighted the increasing frequency and intensity of storms in the region as a stark reminder of the real impacts of climate change. “The Virgin Islands must remain vigilant and prepared as climate change continues to influence weather patterns, leading to stronger and more frequent storms,” he emphasized. “We must all take proactive measures to ensure our safety and resilience in the face of these challenges.” In his statement, Governor Bryan urged all Virgin Islanders to stay informed and prepared. “I encourage everyone to sign up for AlertVI to receive the latest information and updates VITEMA – Public – Sign In (everbridge.net). Additionally, visit VITEMA.vi.gov for essential preparedness tips and resources.
