ACT NO. 6989 BILL NO. 27-0153 TWENTY-SEVENTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2008 An Act amending the Virgin Islands Code, pertaining to records and meetings of the Witness Protection Board ~--)--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 3, chapter 8, section 126, Virgin Islands Code, is amended by adding new subsections (j) and (k) to read as follows: “(j) Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, and specifically the provisions of title 3, chapter 33, Virgin Islands Code, the records of the Board shall be considered confidential records not subject to the public disclosure. Except, however the documents submitted to the Legislature pursuant to subsection (e) (2) of this section and the rules and regulations of the Board shall be considered public records subject to public disclosure. (k) Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, and specifically the provisions of title 1, chapter 15 of this Code, the meetings of the Board shall not be open to the public.” Thus passed by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands on January 23, 2008. …
