The abstract states this report was compiled by K.E. Stevens, R. Champney, R. Gomez and J. Alicia. The report is a compilation of data collected during a well inventory of St. Thomas, Viryin Islands. It includes maps, tables, graphs, well locations, well constructed data, quality of-water-data. This inventory provides a data base to assist water managers and users in the development and full utilization of the ground water resources of St. Thomas. It has been designed for future up- dating as additional information is collected. Another report coming out of the Ecological Center in con- junction with the Water Resources Division of the U.S. Geological Survey in Puerto Rico and enti- tled "Ground Water Records for St. Croix, U.S.V.I. 1969-1973" by Hector M. Colon-Ramos. …

The abstract states this report was compiled by K.E. Stevens, R. Champney, R. Gomez and J. Alicia. The report is a compilation of data collected during a well inventory of St. Thomas, Viryin Islands. It includes maps, tables, graphs, well locations, well constructed data, quality of-water-data. This inventory provides a data base to assist water managers and users in the development and full utilization of the ground water resources of St. Thomas. It has been designed for future up- dating as additional information is collected. Another report coming out of the Ecological Center in con- junction with the Water Resources Division of the U.S. Geological Survey in Puerto Rico and enti- tled "Ground Water Records for St. Croix, U.S.V.I. 1969-1973" by Hector M. Colon-Ramos. The report covers the monitoring of selected wells in St. Croix during the years 1969- 1973. Continuous recording instruments were installed at Mahogany, Castle Coakley, Airport and @dventure wells in central St. Croix. Monthly observations of instantaneous ground water levels were also made at two wells near Barren Spot and River Gut. Precipitation data from National Weather Service stations near the Mahogany, Airport and Castle Coakley wells are shown with the water-level data. These two reports contain maps, graphs, data, and are available to the public. The report concludes that a potential health hazard is believed to be associated with the public water distribution system in St. Croix and St. Thomas. SRC Dr « SS. The conference is held each year specifically for Public Finance teachers and Public Finance Specialists in government. RAINWATER The Caribbean Re- INTERNA- search Institute in TIONAL conjunction with CONFERENCE the American Society of Civil Engineers, have been invited to Co-host the next International Conference on Rain Water Cistern Systems. This is the 2nd of its kind. The firstwas held in Hawaii in 1983 under the Chairmanship of Dr. Yu-si-Fiok, Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. A call for Papers have gone out to an international mailing list of places as near as St. Croix, USVI, Tortola, BVI to as far as Malaysia, Indonesia, Africa and several European Institute Director: N. Harrigan | Editor: A.M. Brown-Comment | Production & Distribution: M. Rogers Countries. A Coordinating Committee has been formed consisting of Mr. Alton Adams, Mr. Elton Chongasing of Adams Associates, Dr. Norwell Harrigan, Mr. Henry Smith, Research Specialist II at CRI and Mrs. A. M. Brown-Comment, Admin- istrative Assistant at CRI. Mr. James Boschulte will represent the ASCE on the Coordinating Com- mittee. A Technical Committee to review papers has also been set up, comprised of Dr. Frank Mills of CVI, Dr. Michael Canoy, of CRI, Mr. Elton Chongasing of Adams Associates, Ms. Francine Lang of Department of Conserva- tion and Mr. Henry Smith of CRI. Abstracts and responses to the Call for Papers are starting to come back to the Committee and bi-weekly meetings are planned to handle the preliminaries. Publications A review essay published by Dr. S.B. Jones-Hendrickson is entitled "Capital Accumulation and Income Distribution* in Social and Economic Studies Vol. 29, No. 1, 1988, University of the West Indies.
