Parima must evidently have been wrong, for the Cable Office builetin board contains an advice this morning of her arrival in St. Thomas at 8.30 last night. At this rate she may be looked for in Frederiksted late today or by davbreak tomorrow. Not long ago we called attention to the lack .of skillaed veterinary aid on the island and in showing the value cf such service, made reference to cases ol mali- cious wounding of animals in the coun- try. Yesterday we learnt of another insiance in which a horse was cruclly stabbed at Est. “‘Fredenshorg’ on Satur- day, this constituting the third such offence within a few months. It is al- leged that when somc «f the laborers have disputes and grudges among them, thev revenge themselves on each other by resorting t 3 such heinous acts uron the poor heasts. London, Sen.l2th. —The Cunard Linse has erabarked on a large building pro- oramme, involving the construction of more thar haif a million tons of ship- ping.
