June 26 ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands — The Office of the Governor is proud to announce the launch of a new initiative focused on improving men’s health and wellness in the territory. St. Thomas-Water Island Administrator Kevin Rodriquez and St. Croix Administrator Sammuel Sanes will host their first men’s health talk, titled “The Men’s Table – Real Talk about Men’s Health,” on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Government House on St. Thomas. “This is a unique opportunity for men to be more informed about their health journey and to connect with experts who understand the importance of early detection, lifestyle changes, and honest dialogue,” said Administrator Kevin Rodriquez. “We want to remove the stigma around men seeking care and encourage one another to take action.” The event also be streamed lived on the Government House Facebook page, @GovernmentHouseUSVI, and on the Government Access Network, Channel 27. This engaging event is open to men only and is designed to create a safe, informative space for honest conversations about physical and mental health, lifestyle choices, and preventative care. Featured speakers include: Dr. John Franklin of VI Urologic Center Inc. Dr. Avi Chaim Weiss of MidAtlantic Urology Associates Attendees will hear expert presentations, personal testimonials, and have the opportunity to ask candid questions, in-person or via Facebook, in a judgment-free setting. Space is limited. Men interested in attending are asked to reserve their seat by calling 340-774-0001. The Administrators are hosting the men’s health event in collaboration with the VI Department of Health’s Chronic Disease Division.
