110TH CONGRESS 1ST SESSION H. R. 57 AN ACT To repeal certain sections of the Act of May 26, 1936, pertaining to the Virgin Islands. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 2 •HR 57 EH SECTION 1. REPEAL OF CERTAIN LAWS PERTAINING TO 1 THE VIRGIN ISLANDS. 2 (a) REPEAL.—Sections 1 through 6 of the Act of May 3 26, 1936 (Chapter 450; 49 Stat. 1372–1373; 48 U.S.C. 4 1401–1401e) are repealed. 5 (b) EFFECTIVE DATE.—This section shall be deemed 6 to have taken effect on July 22, 1954. 7 Passed the House of Representatives January 17, 2007.
