ACTNO 8559 BILL NO. 34-0170 THIRTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2022 An Act amending the Virgin Islands Code, title 29, chapter 12, sections 708, 708a, 708b, 710, 711, 712, 713a(b)(5), 715 and 723 relating to Economic Development Program, amend the incentives to beneficiaries to further their commitments to investment in the Virgin Islands community on-Q--- WHEREAS, the Virgin Islands is in need of improved infrastructure for the benefit of its community members and the enhancement of its business sector; WHEREAS, it is the mission of the Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority to promote and enhance economic development in the Virgin Islands; and WHEREAS, the Virgin Islands Economic Development Commission is in a unique position to incentivize its beneficiaries to further their commitments to the Virgin Islands via community investment; Now, Therefore, Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. …
