February 18 I am pleased to offer this message during this sacred time as we observe Ramadan in the U.S. Virgin Islands and all across the Muslim world. As a Territory, we are blessed to have the freedom to celebrate diverse religious beliefs, and I pause to reflect on the significance of this observance which is a scared and reflective time for our Muslim population. The holy month of Ramadan is a time for religious reflection, increased worship, charity and community. On this commencement day of fasting, Muslims abstain from all forms of food and drink between the period of dawn to sunset while trying to reconnect with their faith. Our Muslim community has contributed greatly to the Virgin Islands in various ways. We honor their religious beliefs and customs and join them in this celebration of Ramadan. We all can be guided by our faith, which can keep us connected spiritually as we recognize the oneness of humanity, despite our diverse cultural values. I encourage families and friends to embrace this time spent with one another, as we are stronger united, and as we build a community with the best we each have to offer. During this holy month of Ramadan, I wish you all a blessed and peaceful observance as you engage in the symbolic rituals of your faith. May you continue to be blessed in all aspects of your life, and may we be a blessing, each to the other. ### TAGS No tags CATEGORIES Uncategorized Previous Next Comments are closed © 2026 Government of the United States Virgin Islands.
