Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources is thrilled to announce that the Virgin Islands State Historic Preservation Office (VISHPO) has successfully worked with governmental agencies, community groups, and organizations toward the approval of eight new nominations for Virgin Islands Historic Sites. These sites are now proudly listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The eight new nominations for Virgin Islands Historic Sites that were added to the National Register of Historic Places are listed below: 1) Sprat Hall Historic District Frederiksted 2) Subbase Barracks No.2 Charlotte Amalie 3) Holy Cross Episcopal Church St. Croix 4) LaGrange Historic District Frederiksted 5) Kingshill Lutheran Church St. Croix 6) Evelyn E. …
