GOVERNMENT OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES PUBLIC SERVICES COMMISSION Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority’s PSC Docket No. 613 Petition for an Annual Revenue Increase of $2.3M in Base Rates for the Water Department Order No. 25/2013 ORDER WHEREAS, on November 16, 2012, the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority filed its Petition for an annual increase in the base rates for the Water Department in the amount of $2.3 million; and WHEREAS, on November 28. 2012, the Authority, by and through its Executive Director, waived the 30-day requirement for action on a proposed rate increase; and WHEREAS, on December 18, 2012, the Public Services Commission met in public session to consider this matter; NOW THEREFORE, the Commission finds and orders: 1. Pursuant to Section 24 of Title 30 of the Virgin Islands Code, the requested rate increase is suspended for a period not to exceed 8 months, beginning November 16, 2012, and 2s The Executive Director shall provide nominations to the Commission for persons to serve as hearing examiner in this matter at the next Commission meeting So Ordered.
