(809) 793-6555 *64760* 64760 MONTHLY PROGRESS REPORT NO. 20 October 8, 1993 RE: Administrative Order on Consent Index No. II - RCRA - Proceeding 7003 & 9003-92-0401 This status report includes the work performed during the period from September 1 through September 30, 1993. WORK COMPLETED DURING PREVIOUS MONTH Continued data analysis and preparation of the RI Report. Participated in a conference call on September 1, 1993 with the PRP's Technical Group regarding scope of August 13, 1993 letter to U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA). Participated in a conference call with the Texaco and Esso representatives on September 24, 1993 regarding schedule. Reviewed Esso facility investigation report generated by Blasland & Bouck Engineers, P.C. Prepared and submitted a proposal for data compilation and analysis to H+GCL and expanded PRP committee on September 8, 1993. Responded to proposed changes to scope of work outlined by H+GCL in their letter dated September 15, 1993. Prepared and submitted a generic example of the proposed database for PRP committee review. Held meeting with Paul Ryan of Texaco on September 23, 1993 at Geraghty & Miller's Rochelle park office to discuss schedule. Prepared two follow-up letters regarding schedule which were transmitted to Mr. Tim Knutson of Texaco on September 29 and 30, 1993. Conducted an inventory and prepared an index of electronic data (i.e., text and tables) associated with the RI. WORK TO BE COMPLETED DURING NEXT MONTH Work to be completed during the month of October is dependent on a meeting with the USEPA, which is anticipated to take place in the near future regarding schedule and the role of the new PRP committee. Note: If the the USEPA does not approve the expanded scope of work and the expanded PRP committee does not move forward with the plan for comprehensive data compilation and TUT 006 1343 analysis, preparation for field work will begin such that mobilization may occur on or about November 1, 1993. This work would only include the recommendations identified in Technical Memorandum n. If the data compilation plan is implemented, work will commence in accordance with the outlined scope of work and the comprehensive RI will be initiated. ANA GLORIA RAMOS TUT OO6 1344
