WINO. 8579 BILL NO. 34-0176 THIRTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2022 An Act appropriating $325,000 from the Community Facility Trust Fund to the General Fund for the purchase of No. 40-B Company Street, Christiansted for the purpose of supporting the program objectives of the Collective Collaboration, Inc., and requiring that the Collective Collaboration, Inc., comply with the financial disclosure requirements under 2 V.I.C. § 29 —0-— WHEREAS, there is a critical need for services to support the homeless population in the Virgin Islands; and WHEREAS, the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness reported that as of January 2020, the Virgin Islands had an estimated 304 residents experiencing homelessness on any given day; and WHEREAS, there is a shortage of emergency and temporary housing in the Territory and wraparound services to support the homeless; and WHEREAS, since March 2020, Collective Collaboration, Inc., a non-profit organization based on St. …
