February 17 U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — Governor Albert Bryan Jr. has nominated former Magistrate Carolyn Hermon-Percell for a seat on the Casino Control Commission for a five-year term as a representative from St. Thomas. Magistrate Hermon-Percell served on the bench of the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands from 2013-2021. She also was in private practice for a number of years before being appointed to the Superior and was a staff member at the Legislature of the Virgin Islands. Magistrate Hermon-Percell will fill a vacancy on the commission, and former Senator Usie Richards has said he will step down when his term finishes at the end of February 2022. The Bryan-Roach Administration is investing in the Territory’s people, infrastructure and future through transparency, stabilizing the economy, restoring trust in the government and ensuring that recovery projects are completed as quickly as possible.
