Sir : I have the honor to inform you that, under date of the 9th instant, I was advised by the minister to Denmark that the quarantine of the government of the Danish West Indies against vessels from Porto Rico has been replaced by a sanitary inspection of all ships arriving from that island, and that owing to the appearance of the plague at Port Elizabeth the government of the Danish West Indies has ordered a sanitary inspection of all ships arriving from Cape Colony.
