VIRGIN ISLANDS CASINO CONTROL COMMISSION POSITION VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Salary Range: $70,000 to $80,000 Exempt Position Location: St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Casino Control Commission or other designated authority within the Casino Control Commission, the Executive Director is responsible for ensuring that the gaming operations comply with all federal and territorial laws and Casino Control Commission’s Rules and Regulations. The Executive Director is appointed by the Virgin Islands Casino Control Commission pursuant to §408-2.1(b) of the Commission’s Rules and Regulations. The Executive Director is responsible for providing overall direction and supervision to all Casino Control Commission staff and in attaining the Commission’s goals and objectives. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Arts degree from a four-year accredited college or university in Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration or Business Law. Master of Arts degree preferred. A minimum of five (5) years of responsible experience in public or business administration with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in management. Must possess the ability to utilize various types of office electronic equipment, with working knowledge of word processing and accounting software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks and other accounting software applications. Must be able to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English proficiently to perform the duties of this position.
