ACTNO.8 80 1 BILL NO. 35-0194 THIRTY-FIFTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2023 An Act amending title 17 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 10, section 111(a) requiring the Commissioner of Education to hire a School Nurse Supervisor per district and School Health Technicians for every public school in the Territory Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 17 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 10, section 111, subsection (a) is amended by designating the existing language as paragraph (1) and inserting paragraphs (2) and (3) to read as follows: “(2) The Commissioner of Education shall employ a school nurse supervisor per district. School nurse supervisors must be a registered nurse or physician assistant empowered to hire and directly supervise school health technicians who work under the supervision of the school nurse supervisors. …
