THE CONFERENCE GROUP (Board of Trustees Meeting, June 29, 1969) eeeThe President reviewed the formation of the Conference Group and discussed the election of its members. He also asked for the inclusion of a member representing those affiliated programs of the College which involved primarily federal projects. The Board assented to the inclusion of this member in the Confer- ence Group and talked further about the development of this new part of the College's structure. One of the specific questions discussed was the chairmanship of the Conference Group, and after considering several possibilities, it was the feeling of the Board that the role of chairman should not be emphasized, but rather that we should follow a Quaker style approach of having a convener, so that all participants would be as nearly equal as possible. 44A
