Notice Extraordinary The A. M. E. Church. The work of Qur great Church has been Revised. We rejoice in the fact that God has blessad our community with the estahlishment of such Institu- tions as the Churches, and we are very happy to join heart and hand with tle Churches working to the end that our community might be bettered. It has been said by some that the A. M. E. Church is an organization working for the purpose of disseminating prejudice of the worse kind; viz; Race, Prejudice, hit as one in full authority of the work of our Church here in St. Croix, I, Rev. Robinson, wish to disabuse all minds of such pernicious ideas. We desire, aspire, and urge that all the Churcies here co-operate for the best and highest G ood of our community. We have stated to our brother ministers that it should be possible for us to have a Union of ihe Clergymen, who are the religious Le d- ers of the (o 'munity, and we shall s'and by a!l moverments caiculated to foster Up-lift to ail the penple in the Island. We are not struggling for existence, for, wherever there is the idea of true Christianity, true Brotherhood, and true Love und Kindnesws, seeking to give all viankind Justice and Rights, you bhave the Great Spirit of eur Chureh, which has stood tor more than a century, precching, teaching, and urging against all prejudice and diserimination, and we challenge the great respect of the Great American Nauon, we hold forth a most important jaitin the grand and power- ful Ecumenicle Couneil of the Meihod- ists of the World, we have had leading men, both in the Clergy and the Laity, who have represented and served our Great American Government as Minis- ters to Fcreign Countres. And while we are grateful to Thee for all these we acknowledge our entire dependence upon Thee for ali that we need in this life. Grant us the grace to live according to Thy law and commandments. In thy Holy name we begin all thrt we do, and by Thee we desire all our actions to be happily ended. Our Father, who art in heaven, hal- lowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be ¢one on earth as it is in heaven.
