Notwithstanding the use restrictions of the Budget Stabilization Fund, 2 established in title 33 Virgin Islands Code section 3100m, the sum of $430,000 is appropriated 3 from the Budget Stabilization Fund of the Treasury of the Government of the Virgin Islands to 4 the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital and Medical Center in the fiscal year ending September 30, 5 2026 to purchase a 3-D mammography machine (Digital Breast Tomosynthesis), for use in the 6 Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute. The funds shall also be used for site preparation, 7 installation, calibration, staff training, initial warranty/service agreement and necessary 8 accessories. 9 SECTION 2. The funds appropriated in section 1 remain available until expended. 10 BILL SUMMARY 11 This bill appropriates $430,000 from the Budget Stabilization Fund, established in title 12 33 Virgin Islands Code section 3100m, to the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital and Medical 13 Center for the benefit of the Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute to purchase a 3-D 14 2 mammography machine (Digital Breast Tomosynthesis), including related site preparation, 1 installation, calibration, staff training, initial warranty/service agreement, and necessary 2 accessories. 3 BR25-0896/October 28, 2025/PFA/Revised October 29, 2025/Revised October 30, 2025 4
