ACT NO, 66°74 BILL NO, 25-0202 TWENTY-FIFTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Regular Session 2004 To honor and commend Digna Marie Wheatley for her outstanding achicvements, leadership and service and to name the gymnasium at the Ivanna Eudora Kean High School the “Digna Marie Wheatley Gymnasium” ---)--- WHEREAS, bom Aupust 26, 1970, Ms. Digna Marie Wheatley, spent the first five years of her life in Frednksted, St. Crora; and WHEREAS, her family relocated to the cast end of 51. Thomas where, as the oldest and only female child of four, Ms. Wheatley began to demonstrate a propensity for leadership; and WHEREAS, Ms. Wheailey’s precedent for activism and service began many years ago, when she served in high school as editor and reporter for the school paper, secretary for the Spanish and National Honor Societies and a building representative for the public housing devclopment in which she hved; and WHEREAS, al the age of 17, Ms. …
