GOVERNOR MAPP WITHDRAWS HEALTH COMMISSIONER’S NOMINATION (July 9, 2015 St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands) This afternoon Governor Kenneth E. Mapp sent a letter to Senate President Neville James withdrawing the nomination for Ms. Phyllis Wallace, Ed.D, as the Commissioner of the Department of Health. “Dr. Wallace has asked me to withdraw her nomination for personal reasons. In addition Commissioner Designate Wallace has agreed to continue serving in an acting capacity until I name her successor.” Stated the Governor -1-
