MTN. 7152 Wero® BILL NO. 28-0086 GOVERNOR TWENTY-EIGHTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2009 An Act amending title 15 Virgin Islands Code to provide for a Uniform Statutory Form Power of Attorney Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 15 Virgin Islands Code is amended by adding Article V Part 7 to read as follows: ARTICLE V Part 7 §5-701. STATUTORY FORM POWER OF ATTORNEY. A document substantially in the following form may be used to create a statutory form power of attorney that has the meaning and effect prescribed by this article. VIRGIN ISLANDS STATUTORY FORM POWER OF ATTORNEY IMPORTANT INFORMATION This power of attorney authorizes another person, your agent, to make decisions concerning your property for you, the principal. Your agent will be able to make decisions and act with respect to your property, including your money, whether or not you are able to act for yourself.
