ACTNO. 8611 BILL NO. 34-0244 THIRTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2022 An Act amending title 27 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 4, section 191 to expand and clarifS’ the definition of naturopathic medicine and the physical modalities used in the practice of naturopathy ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature ofthe Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 27 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 4, section 191 is amended in the following instances: (a) Subsection (a) is amended by adding a sentence to read: “It may include the use of electrotherapy, diathermy, hydrotherapy, naturopathic manipulative therapy, and acupuncture” (b) Subsection (b) is amended after the word “college” by inserting a comma and adding the following language, “and has passed both Naturopathic Physicians Licensing Examinations - NPLEX 1 and NPLEX 2.” (c) Subsection (d) is amended by striking the words, “and therapeutic exercise” and inserting a comma and adding the following language, “electromagnetic nonionizing radiation, ultraviolet light, ultrasound, therapeutic exercises and therapeutic substances …
