GOVERNMENT OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OFFICE OF THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR NOTARIES PUBLIC DIVISION Notary Public Oath of Office | Rev. 4/2026 NOTARY PUBLIC OATH OF OFFICE The Notary Public Oath of Office is a formal declaration made before assuming the duties of a Notary Public in the U.S. Virgin Islands. By taking the oath, the applicant promises to support the Constitution and applicable laws and to faithfully perform the duties of the office. The form must be signed and notarized in the presence of a commissioned Notary Public. INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE APPLICANT • Appear in person before a commissioned Notary Public with satisfactory identification. • Swear or affirm that the statements in the Oath of Office are true. • Print your commission name exactly as you want it to appear on your notary seal and license. • Sign and date the Oath of Office in the Notary Public's presence. • Enter your NP or LNP commission number where indicated. INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE COMMISSIONED NOTARY PUBLIC • Verify the applicant's identity using satisfactory identification and administer the oath or affirmation. …
