Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources invites the community to join the department in a new initiative to share our passion for protecting our natural and cultural resources. Each month a new theme and challenge will be announced that will demonstrate examples of how the community can join in the celebration of our natural and cultural resources. The initiative is kicking off on Friday, January 27th with “BLUE OCEAN FRIDAY”. We’re asking the community to join the department by wearing the color blue and doing one good deed to show your commitment to protecting our coastal resources. “I’m excited to see the creativity each participant will bring to this initiative,” said Commissioner Oriol. …

This initiative will continue all year with challenges that will highlight the missions of each of the DPNR divisions, so keep an eye out for February’s theme!
