BILL NO. 28-0206 TWENTY-EIGHTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2010 An Act approving the proposed sale of Government Real Property at Plot “X” Company Street, Company Quarter, St. Croix, Virgin Islands --0-- WHEREAS, the Government of the Virgin Islands owns Plot “X” Company Street, Company Quarter, St. Croix, Virgin Islands, consisting of approximately 1,522.7 square feet and the plot abutting Plot “X”, No. 52 Company Street; and WHEREAS, A building owned by the Estate of Antonio Gonzales, Rudy Gonzales, Pierre A. Gonzales, Joy Delgado, Penny Gonzales Lewis and Kay N. Claude (“the Estate’) which was constructed approximately forty years ago, encroaches upon Plot “X”; and WHEREAS, the encroachment of Plot “X” is a result of misinterpretation in the translation of the boundary description of the Estate’s property contained in an old Danish Measure Brief, which described boundaries in terms of Danish Feet, which at least one court in the Virgin Islands has acknowledged that Danish measures are different from English feet; and WHEREAS, in the St. …
