ACT NO.6611 BILL NO 25-0067 TWENTY-FIFTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Special Session 2003 To approve the projects to be funded with $789,671 to be reprogrammed from previous Community Development Block Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, to amend title 20 Virgin Islands Code, section 466, relating to fines for seatbelt violations; to repeal Act 6585 section 15(b) relating to penalty increases for driving while intoxicated or disabled; to amend title 14 Virgin Islands Code, section 2101, to increase the fines for buying, receiving or possessing stolen property and for other purposes ---(--- WHEREAS, for various reasons, it is necessary to reprogram funds from previously approved Community Development Block Grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and WHEREAS, Title 3, Section 67, Virgin Islands Code requires the Legislature to approve participation in federally funded programs; Now Therefore, BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. …
