COMMITTEE ON BUDGET, APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE BILL NO. 35-0160 Thirty-Fifth Legislature of the Virgin Islands September 19, 2023 An Act providing an appropriation from the Virgin Islands Lottery as a contribution to the General Fund of the Treasury of the Government of the Virgin Islands for the fiscal year October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024 PROPOSED BY: Senators Novelle E. Francis, Jr., and Donna A. Frett-Gregory by Request of the Governor Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding 32 V.I.C. § 246(a)(11) or any other law, the sum of 2 $950,000 is appropriated from the Virgin Islands Lottery in the fiscal year October 1, 2023, 3 through September 30, 2024, as a contribution to the General Fund of the Treasury of the 4 Government of the Virgin Islands. 5 BILL SUMMARY 6 This bill provides for a $950,000 appropriation from the Virgin Islands Lottery as a 7 contribution to the General Fund of the Treasury of the Government of the Virgin Islands for 8 the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024. 9 BR23-0798/BUDGET/September 15, 2023 10
