Item Indicator of Effectiveness Mean Rating 1 Professor is generally prepared. 6.02 2 Professor uses techniques to facilitate learning. 6.11 3 Professor has knowledge of subject matter. 6.14 4 Professor analyses, evaluates, and encourages students. 5.90 5 Professor encourages students to ask questions. 6.42 6 Professor requires students to explore ideas. 5.87 7 Professor requires students to demonstrate critical thinking. 6.24 8 Professor is approachable out of class. 6.23 9 Professor returns graded papers frequently. 5.93 10 Professor employs effective techniques. 5.58 Total 6.02 Note: The data represent 8 course evaluations done for full time faculty at the graduate level with 51 students completing surveys.
