Government of the Virgin Islands EMERGENCY TASK ORDER AGREEMENT Debris Site Management (Emergency Service) in the District of St, Thomas, St, John & Water Island - Hurricanes Irma and Maria 2017 THIS AGREEMENT, made this day of 2017. inthe ferritery of the Virgin Islands of the United States. by and between the Government of the Virgin Islands. through the Department of Property and Procurement on behalf of the Department of Public Works (hereinafter referred to as “Government”) and 4-9 Trucking Enterprises, Inc. whose address is. P.O. Bax 23356 Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, 11 00803 (hereinafter referred to as "Contractor”) WIEPNESSETH: WHEREAS, the District of St. Thamas, St. John and Water Island in the 1 erritory of the Cnited Siaies Virgin islands sustained damage including but not limited to down trees, broken utility poles. downed utility lines, blocked roadways. power outages, Mooding and mudslides trem the passage of Category § [urricane Irma (“Hurricane Irma™) on September 6, 2017 and Category 5 Hurricane Maria Hurricane Maria”) on September 20. 2017; and WHEREAS. the Government is in need of a contractor w provide emergency debris site management in the District of St. Thomas. St. John and Water Island to resume the provision of services to the Public: and WHEREAS. the Contractor was selected in accordance with the authority in 31 VLC § 239 (ak) and WHEREAS, the Contractor represents that it is willing and capable of providing the services in an expeditious manner and in accordance with the specifications cited in Addendum | and {I: NOW THEREFORE. it is mutually agreed between the Parties as follows. Section 1. Phat for and in consideration of the prices and other terms and conditions of this \ureement. the Contractor agrees to provide the Government with all necessary supplies to provide the services outlined in Addendum |. (Scope of Work) atlached hereto and made a part of this Contract, Section H. {he Government. in consideration of the satislactory performance of the services desenbed in Addendum 1. (Scope of Services) agrees to pay the Contractor in accordance with invoices submitted and approved by the Department of Public Works or its authorized representative. as set forth in Addendum I]. (Compensation) attached hereto and made a part of this Agreement. Section HH] P his Contract shall commence on September 7. 2017 and shall terminate one hundred twenty (120) days thereafter unless mutually extended or terminated by the Parties.
