GERAGHTY (S^ MILLER, INC. nvironmental Services Ground Water Engineering Hydrocarbon Remediation Education May 3, 1991 Ms. Caroline Kwan U.S. Environmental Protection Agency New York/Caribbean Superfund Branch II 26 Federal Plaza New York, NY 10278 RE: Tutu Service Station Investigation Work Plan Dear Ms. Kwan: This letter is intended to follow up on our meeting on May 2nd at the USEPA Region II office attended by yourself, Sarah Odland (CDM-Federal Programs Corporation), Ana Gloria Ramos (Esso/TEIC Coordinator), Jose Agrelot (Soil Tech), and Thomas Danahy and Dan Nachman of Geraghty & Miller, Inc. We believe our meeting was very productive, resulting in several technical agreements for the above-referenced work plan. Geraghty & Miller is currently revising the work plan in accordance with our discussions. The USEPA will be responding to our request to use Schedule 40 PVC rather than stainless steel for monitoring well casing and screen. The revised work plan will be submitted to the USEPA no later than May 30, 1991. …

The 2nd quarter sampling report (February 1991 sampling event) for the Tutu Water Supply Wells will be submitted to the USEPA no later than May 13, 1991. We will be recommending the deletion of nine water supply wells from the sampling list due to non- detectable results for parameters of concern.
