THE VIRGIN ISLANDS POLICE DEPARTMENT “To Protect and Serve” Office of the Commissioner AAF Justice Complex, 5400 Veterans Drive St. Thomas, 00802 * (340) 774-2211 Administrative Services Building 45 Mars Hill, Frederiksted St. Croix, 00840 * (340) 778-2211 www.vipd.vi.gov VIPD RELEASE- 120522-338 For Media Distribution December 5, 2022 Woman Received Treatment Following an Altercation, Man Arrested For Assault DV St. Thomas, USVI - On Monday, December 5, 2022, at approximately 6:30 a.m., Mr. Javier Lima, a 29-year-old Hispanic male, turned himself into the Domestic Violence Unit to face charges of Assault in the Second and Third Degree DV, Simple Assault DV and Disturbance of the Peace DV. On Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Mr. Lima’s girlfriend received treatment for multiple bruises and a broken wrist after an altercation with him. Mr. Lima was advised of his rights, booked, processed, and turned over to the Bureau of Corrections pending his Advise of Rights Hearing. No bail was set in this matter as per the DV statues. …
