Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources informs the public that the following St. Croix Coastal Zone Management (CZM) Committee Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 5:30pm. This meeting will be held via the video conferencing platform Microsoft Teams. The agenda is as follows: Decision Meeting (testimony will not be heard) Decision Meeting for Federal Consistency Determination No. CZM0048 25- Virgin Islands Department of Education- St. Croix Educational Complex Renovation & Modernization. The proposed renovation/modernization program intends to re-utilize the existing building structures along with supplemental secondary new construction. The damage necessitates a roof replacement on Buildings 2 and 3. Other renovations include finish flooring replacements, cleaning, and repainting for all buildings. …

The project is located at 5- A & 5-C VICORP Land, St. Croix, USVI 00851. Decision Meeting for Federal Consistency Determination No. CZM0010-25- Virgin Islands Department of Education- Claude O. Markoe School Pre-K- 8th- Demolition and Reconstruction. The purpose of the project is to demolish the existing Claude O. Markoe School and design and construct a completely new school, including classrooms, administrative offices, a library, a cafeteria, a kitchen, bathrooms, stairways, balconies, hallways, and all fixtures, equipment, and contents to replace the campus with a new campus. The project is located at 71-75 Mars Hill, Frederiksted St. Croix, VI 00840. Decision Meeting for Federal Consistency Determination No. CZM0008-25- Virgin Islands Department of Education- Alexander Henderson School Pre-K- 8th- Demolition and Reconstruction.
