THOMAS – In keeping with Governor Albert Bryan Jr’s August 29 extension of the territory’s Stay-at-Home Order, the Virgin Islands Department of Education has delayed the start of public schools for one week, with classes beginning on Mon., Sept. 14, and not Tues., Sept. 8. All students will learn from home, as previously announced. The Department of Education reminds the community to adhere to the governor’s Stay-at-Home Order, wear a mask or facial covering when in public, wash hands frequently, and practice social distancing. ###
