ACTNO, 7405 BILL NO. 29-0388 TWENTY-NINTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2012 An Act amending title 24 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 10 relating to apprenticeship programs and their consistency with federal requirements and repealing sections 226, 232 and 233 of title 24, chapter 10 ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 24 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 10 is amended in the following instances: (a) Section 221 is amended by striking all of the language in that section and inserting new language that reads as follows: “When used in this chapter the term, Q) “Apprentice” means a worker at least 16 years of age, except where a higher minimum age standard is otherwise fixed by law, who is employed to learn an apprenticeable occupation, as defined in section 230 (a) (6). …
