URSUANT to order from the Govern- ment the Tax Commission for St. Croix will meet on the undermention- ed days to receive information in writing relating to the taxes for the presentyear: For the Town of Chr s iansted: at the Government Secretary’s Office at 10 o’clock a. m. viz: - WEDNESDAY December 10th for the inhabitants of King’s, Company, Queen’s Strand, North znd West Streets, also Western Suburbs. - THURSDAY December lith for the inhabitants of Smith, Western and Ulke Lane, Watergut, Market and Prince’s Streets, King’s and Queen’s (ross Streets, Church, Hospital and Green Streets and the Eastern Sub.rbs. FRIDAY December 12th for the iv- habitants of Hill, East, Lagoon Little Hospital, New and Fisher Streets. For the Country. SATURDAY Decemb r 13th. for the inhabitants in voth East End Quarters at the Sock Estate Sally’s Fancy at 11 o’clock a. m. TUESDAY December 16th for the in- habitants in Company’s Quarter at the Agricultural Experiment Station at Es- tate Anna’s Hope at 11 o’cleck a. m. : WEDNESDAY December 17th ior the inhabitants in Queen’s King’sand North- side Quarter Ltr. B. at the Station at Kingshill at 10 o’clock a. m. FRIDAY Decembér 19th for the in- habitants in Prince’s Quarter in the School at Kstate Diamond a* 2 o’clock p. m., not 12 o’clock noon. MONDAY December 22nd for the in- habitants in West End Quarter ard Northside Quarter Ltr. A. at the Police Office in Frederiksted, at 10 o’clock a. m. For the Town of Frederiksted: same day for the inhabitants of Strand, King’s and Queen’s Streets. TUESDAY December 23rd for the in- habitants of Prince’s, Hospital and New Streets, King’s Cross Street, Market, Hill and Lagoon Streets, all at the said Police Office at 10 o’clock a. m. Owners of estates are to specify in writing the exact number of acres in su- gar cultivaticn, in cotton cultivation, in other cultivation and in pasture. Also information concerning the buildings on the estate and the appropriation thereof, especially if there are rooms rented to Sther than laborers permanently employ- ed. and the length and width of said rooms and the renta! thereof. If any portion of the land is considerad to be useless, and yields no revenve to the owner, the number of acres of such portion must be stated in the taxlist and a certificate on oath issued by the pro- prietor and two Burghers residing in the quarter, and furthermere attested by the Quarter Officer, and delivered to the Commission. In case persons neglect to deliver a taxlist for any estate in . due time, the Commission will be- . fore closing the meeting assess the . tax for said estate according to the ' Dbest of its knowledge. Taxlists ! which are forwarded later to the l Commission, will, together with a ' list of those estatesthat have omit. ! ted to send in their taxlists, be transmitted to the Government in 1 order that other measures be taken.
