‘ACT NO.6614 BILL NO. 25-0136 TWENTY-FIFTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES Special Session 2003 To amend title 24, Virgin Islands Code, section 315a(j) and section 10 of Act No. 6585 to ensure the continuation of unemployment insurance benefits for certain unemployed workers and to change the effective date for the implementation of the increase in benefits, respectively ---0--- BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 24, Virgin Islands Code, section 315a()), is hereby amended by deleting the current sentence in its entirety and inserting a new sentence to read as follows: “The provisions of this section shall not be effective after August 30, 2003, and no new claims shall be payable under the provisions of this section.” SECTION 2. Section 10, subsections (b), (c) and (d) of Act No. 6585 are hereby deleted and subsection (e) is redesignated accordingly. SECTION 3. Section 10, subsection (e) of Act No. …
