EXTENSION OF ADJUSTMENT ASSISTANCE FOR 1 WORKERS TO TERRITORIES. 2 (a) IN GENERAL.—Section 247(7) of the Trade Act 3 of 1974 (19 U.S.C. 2319(7)) is amended— 4 (1) by inserting ‘‘, Guam, the Virgin Islands of 5 the United States, American Samoa, the Common- 6 wealth of the Northern Mariana Islands,’’ after 7 ‘‘District of Columbia’’; and 8 (2) by striking ‘‘such Commonwealth.’’ and in- 9 serting ‘‘such territories.’’ 10 (b) EFFECTIVE DATE.—The amendments made by 11 this section shall be effective with respect to petitions filed 12 under section 221 of such Act (19 U.S.C. 2271) on or 13 after October 1, 2012. 14 Æ VerDate Mar 15 2010 20:22 Apr 05, 2012 Jkt 019200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6301 E:\BILLS\H4316.IH H4316 srobinson on DSK4SPTVN1PROD with BILLS
