ACTNO, 7323 BILL NO. 29-0147 TWENTY-NINTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2011 An Act to create a civil cause of action with remedies for employment discrimination in courts of competent jurisdiction in the United States Virgin Islands ---0--- Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: SECTION 1. Title 10, chapter 5, section 64 of the Virgin Islands Code is amended as follows: (a) By inserting the word ‘age,’ before the words ‘color, national origin, sex’ wherever they appear, if the word ‘age,’ does not already appear.” (b) In subsection (1)(e), by inserting after the words “because he has”, the words “complained or”. (c) In subsections (6)(a) and (b), by deleting the words “between the ages of forty and sixty-five”, and inserting in their place the words “over the age of 40”. (d) In subsection (10), by inserting after the words “because he has”, the words “complained or”. …
