ACTNO. 8510 BILL NO. 34-0065 THIRTY-FOURTH LEGISLATURE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS Regular Session 2021 An Act honoring and commending Elridge Blake for his outstanding accomplishments in sports and contributions to the people of the Virgin Islands; naming the University of the Virgin Islands Sports and Fitness Center in his honor; and appropriating $10,000 to cover the cost and up-keep of the signage WHEREAS, Elridge Wilburn Blake, fondly known as “Blakie”, was bom on March 21, 1947, on St. Thomas, Virgin Islands to Victor Adolph and Eulalie Constancia Turnbull Blake; WHEREAS, Elridge Blake is the father of two daughters, Vania and Eulalie; WHEREAS, Elridge Blake is a member of the Memorial Moravian Church and President of the Moravian Church Youth Fellowship from 1994 to 1995; WHEREAS, Elridge Blake attended Fish Wharf Kindergarten, Leonard Dober Elementary School, Abraham Lincoln Elementary School (now J. …
