To The Patror= Os The Shristian- a2 sted Post Office, And The Gen- eral Public: [t i 5 with gratification the announce- ment is made that arrangements have been conciuded between the Post Office De- partment and the Municipal Government fora lease of the quarters now used for this post office, under the terms of which new and adequate lock box equipment will bz furnished, and provi:ions made to admit of the lobby of the oilice being left open before and afrer business hours, and on Sundays and holidays, for the accommodation of lock box paircens ; this to go inito effee{ July Ist. 1t is be- ileved thai the number of lock-boxes to be installed will mect the demand tor this kind of service, and it is hoped that patrons will consider the benefit to be derived therefrom and take advantage of it. In this conuection it should be re- marked that after the installation of the nev boxes there will be no general de- livery o: mail on Sundays: delivery will, however, be made through lock-boxes. Three sizes of boxes will be available: small, 3-3/16 x 44 @35 cents; medium, O x b 5 @ 45 cents, and large, 104 x 5-13716 @ 60 cents per quarier. These boxes will be provided with key, and automatic key- less locks the choize of which is optional to patrons, and a deposit of 20 cents will be required for each key issued to a renter of a lock-box. Boxes will not be rented to minors, nor contrary Lo the provisions of the Postai Law.. Applications for lock-boxes will be received at the money order window of the post office fr- m this date. Upon instailation of th~ equip- ment Diils wiil be rendered to such par ties as have registered their naines, and pay ment collected for at least one guari er in advance. Boxes ‘with the same numbers will be as-igned to those Fold- ers now renting boxes, but in event smailer or larger boxes are desired. or boxes with numbers differert to those now held, application for such changes should be made at an early date. Dear Sir:- With reference (o « communica- tion in today’s issue signed ‘‘Patrons ot the Theatre’’ complaining rhat there has been no show the last two Thursday nights since Mr. Svendsen left for Den- mark, [ am constrained to explain that the standing order for films for Thursday night shows was discontinued through the source from which these films were obtained locally. Mr. Svendsen discov- ered this on his arrival in Porto Rico and advised mee to that effeet, aiso informing that other arrangements had been made for future delivery of films which would enable us to resume shows on Thursday niiits beginning Thursday 19tn. instant, I can assure patrons of the theatre that first-class pictures featuring Mary Wail- camp, Eddie iLyon, and Lee Morap, are among those shortly expecied, and it is hoped that these great prcductions will more than make up for the past evenings omitted. .
