Zurich, May 22nd.—A wireless des- pateh from Moscow announces that the Soviet Govt. has sent the Allied Govern- ment a note protesting against the Polish offensive. Paris, May 22nd.-—The Federai Council of Railwayme. decided at a meeuny this evening to continue the strike and de- clared that it ~ill be supported by all the unions, in acecordance with a dzci- sion of the national enuncil. Notwith- standing an order by the raiiway union to continue tne strike, numerous resump- tions by strikers are being recorded, notably two thousand two hundred on the State s) stem. Paris, May 25th. —President Deschanel this afternoon spent a few moments 1n his office. A bulletin issued by his doc- tors at six-thirty p. m. stated that his condition was satisfactory and without feverish symptoms. Paris, May 26th. —The "'Ec¢ho de Paris’’ states positively that the President must resign himse!f toa complete rest, which may be prolonged until far into the summer, all audiences being suspend- ed. The "~'Petit Journal’ states that there is no danger of complications, but rest is necessary. It is understood that the President will proceed to the esiate of his faiaer-in-law, near Rennes, where he will have the absolute quiet neces- sary. Paris, May 26th.—The peace confer- ence has invited the Ge>man Government to replace Colonel Xylander, its delegate to the Sarre Commiszion. The ‘‘Journal’’ however, says that the conference of ambassadors has demanded not only his recall, bur his formal disavowal by the German Govt., the measure of which will mark its good faith.
