The following sums are appropriated from the General Fund of the 2 Treasury of the Government of the Virgin Islands for operating expenses in the fiscal year 3 starting October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025 to the following entities: 4 0100 GENERAL FUND FY 2025 5 JUDICIAL COUNCIL $ 130,620 6 VIRGIN ISLANDS JUDICIARY AND COURT SYSTEM $ 41,080,000 7 OFFICE OF THE TERRITORIAL PUBLIC DEFENDER $ 6,132,220 8 TOTAL 0100 GENERAL FUND $ 47,342,840 9 BILL SUMMARY 10 Section 1 of this bill appropriates $47,342,840 from the General Fund of the Treasury of 11 the Government of the Virgin Islands, of which $130,620 is appropriated to fund the Judicial 12 2 Council, $41,080,000 to fund the Virgin Islands Judiciary and Court System, and $6,132,220 1 to fund the Office of the Public Defender for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2025. 2 BR24-1301/BUDGET/September 18, 2024 3
