RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE BUILDING AND GROUNDS — June 2, 2001
UNIVERSITY OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE BUILDING AND GROUNDS COMMITTEE TO APPROVE DESIGN DOCUMENTS FOR MAJOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS PREVIOUSLY APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES Whereas the University’s Ten Year Capital Development Program received the approval of the Trustees in 2000, and Whereas the Capital Development Program included the creation of a Mid Campus Dining Facility and a Remote Campus Kitchen Facility on the St. Thomas Campus, the redevelopment of the Harvey Student Center into the Harvey Administrative Center, and Whereas the University has, under the guidance of the Cabinet, developed and refined design drawings for these projects, and Whereas, the timely and economical construction of these projects call for work to begin after the June meeting of the Trustees but well before the November meeting; and Whereas, it has been the practice in the past for the Building and Grounds Committee to review and approve construction design plans for major capital projects approved by the Board of Trustees; Now be it resolved that the Board of Trustees of the …
