Scott Fire Station Reconstruction and Safe Room Projects (Project No. 80164, HMGP 4340-0022). VIFEMS intends to submit a formal FCD application, and the pre-application meeting will assist the agency in preparing for the FCD review process. The George P. Scott Fire Station sustained damage during Hurricanes Irma and Maria, and FEMA has approved funding for the demolition and reconstruction of the station as well as the construction of an internal safe room. Other pertinent project details are below. Developer’s Name: Virgin Islands Fire and Emergency Medical Services (Government of the Virgin Islands) Legal Address of Project Parcel No. 390 Estate Anna’s Retreat St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands 00802 (Approximately .59 U.S. acres) Project Scope/Description The Virgin Islands Fire and Emergency Medical Services intends to demolish the existing George P. Scott Fire Station and construct a single-story fire station with an internal safe room. This new facility will consist of approximately 8,200 square feet and will include office space, a dining room/day room, male and female dorms and bathrooms, an equipment room and apparatus bay.
