UNIVERSITY of the VIRGIN ISLANDS RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the University of the Virgin Islands is committed to recognizing and rewarding outstanding academic and community service; and WHEREAS, Ms. Magdalene Bryan joined the faculty of then College, now University of the Virgin Islands in August 1975; and WHEREAS, Ms. Bryan has completed 14 years and 5 months of loyal service to the University, and has made significant contributions serving as a member of the teaching faculty, as Special Assistant to the President, as Affirmative Action Officer, and as Chairperson, Division of Business Administration; and WHEREAS, Ms. Bryan has notified us of her intention to retire from her position as Associate Professor of Management and Finance, effective at the end of the Spring semester 1992; and WHEREAS, during the full term of her employment, for the mutual benefit of her and the University, Ms. Bryan refrained from exercising the privilege of taking two sabbatical leaves. …

UNIVERSITY of the VIRGIN ISLANDS RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the University of the Virgin Islands is committed to recognizing and rewarding outstanding academic and community service; and WHEREAS, Ms. Magdalene Bryan joined the faculty of then College, now University of the Virgin Islands in August 1975; and WHEREAS, Ms. Bryan has completed 14 years and 5 months of loyal service to the University, and has made significant contributions serving as a member of the teaching faculty, as Special Assistant to the President, as Affirmative Action Officer, and as Chairperson, Division of Business Administration; and WHEREAS, Ms. Bryan has notified us of her intention to retire from her position as Associate Professor of Management and Finance, effective at the end of the Spring semester 1992; and WHEREAS, during the full term of her employment, for the mutual benefit of her and the University, Ms. Bryan refrained from exercising the privilege of taking two sabbatical leaves. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the University of the Virgin Islands hereby authorizes a one year sabbatical leave with pay for academic year 1992-93, in recognition of her many years of exemplary service to the University and the people of the Virgin Islands; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of her retirement, shall be at the conclusion of the sabbatical leave at the end of Spring semester 1993.
