STYLE (IFAPPROPRIATE) vernacular MATERIAL OF CONSTRUCTION (INCLUDE STRUCTURAL SYSTEMS) A brick vaulted base, which extends under the drive to the NH, rests n a yet undetermined foundation, walls are brick <Cont'd on page 2) "WS APE AND DIMENSIONS OF STRUCTURE (SKETCHED FLOOR PLANS ON SEPARATE PAGES ARE ACCEPTABLE) Rectangular in plan, measuring approx. 20' x 14', one story EXTERIOR FEATURES OF NOTE The stuccoed exterior walls are painted red ochre. The front and rear doorways have two wing shutters, one ply thick with simple bracing; two windows, a single wooden 2-ply front window <Cont'd on page 2) INTERIOR FEATURES OF NOTE (DESCRIBE FLOOR PLANS, IF NOT SKETCHED) The interior is divided into two areas, the entry and the "cage"- The cage i3 partitioned by wooden frame and screen walls, within which the butcher works. The interior walls are plastered (Cont'd on page 2) MAJOR ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS WITH DATES PRESENT CONDITION AND USE The building is xn fair condition, the walls have he&n repointed and restuccoed. VI-25 (PAGE 2) Material ox conat.ruct.ion; (Cont'd) -and rubble masonry. The and walls stand on a brick barrel vault, which spans a stream, and extend up into the gable. Exterior features of note; (Cont'd) and one with two-wing shutters, also 2-ply on the NW side. The front window is recessed 2 inches- On the rear wall there is a door-size rectangular panel recessed into the stucco. The roof is constructed of simple wooden rafters resting on a wooden plate. The rafters are covered with wooden sheathing boards, over which terracotta Danish wing tiles are laid. Interior features of note: (Cont'd) and painted a cream color. the floors are 12"-wide wooden boards that run the full length of the room. In the entry the ceiling is hung under the tie rafters at the plate line. •
